The Village offers an attractive package of benefits to employees. In addition, Opportunity Village conducts a wide array of in-house training classes which are free to employees, such as First Aid, CPR, Mandt Behavior Management, Med Aide, and more.
In 2014, Opportunity Village was named to the Top 100 Workplaces in Iowa by Workplace Dynamics, a list published by the Des Moines Register. This is based solely on employee surveys. One of the top comments by an employee is, "They go out of their way to make sure I'm doing well and always have a listening ear."
That is surely a top benefit! But here are highlights of the standard benefits*:

Must have been employed 13 months, worked 1,000 hours, and be 21 years of age to be eligible for pension. Employees may make pre-tax contributions to the plan. New plan members automatically enrolled at 2% unless they decline; may choose to contribute any percentage desired within IRS guidelines.
Village matches 100% of the first 3% of employee contribution and 50% of the next 2%, for a total employer contribution of up to 4% of gross pay. In other words, if employee contribution is 5% of wages, the Village contributes 4%. Employees are 100% vested in Village match right away.
